Julie’s practice focuses on all phases of complex class action litigation. She exclusively represents plaintiffs in a diverse set of state and national class actions involving consumer fraud, employment/wage and hour violations, and elder abuse disputes in both federal and state courts.

In the consumer context, Julie has most recently played a central role in litigating class actions against Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of California in relation to the 2013 rollout of Covered California. In the employment context, Julie has litigated and resolved wage and hour class actions on behalf of employees of flooring installation companies and skilled nursing facilities, as well as misclassification cases involving workers who have been misclassified as either independent contractors or as exempt employees. Julie also has a special expertise in addressing mandatory pre-dispute arbitration agreements and has prosecuted class actions and individual cases in arbitration.

Prior to joining the Arns Law Firm, Julie worked at the law offices of Michael D. Thamer and the San Francisco Superior Court, Small Claims Division.
